Traveling is something that I have always loved to do because it is new and exciting. Who doesn’t like to take trips, vacations, and weekend getaways? Mr. LWH doesn’t like to venture away from home nearly as much as we do, but he generally goes along for the ride. You will find all our adventures on this page as we travel through life. Sometimes we go on exciting family trips, while other times I go on exciting business trips but as we have been transitioning to Empty Nesters our travel adventures are starting to become more and more frequent. Be sure to check out all of our adventures as they happen!!
Some of the places we love to visit include our favorite states that so far include: South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Iowa and Missouri. But some of the best family trips we have taken are right here in the state of Missouri. We love to be able to go over a weekend and not have our daughter miss school, not to mention it is usually cheaper.
I love to travel with hubby. Visiting new places is so exciting!

I love to travel. I have visited up and down the East Coast from Maine all the way down to Florida via car. These days, we prefer to travel to various parts of the Caribbean and the Bahamas via cruise ship. Either way, a travel day is always better then a usual day just relaxing at home.

There’s a few states listed I definitely want to visit, but I wouldn’t know which one to visit first. I should start with Louisiana since that’s where my dads side of the family is from.

We had our family vacations. Most of them were fun, but there were a couple where we could have used another one right after the first one – to relax!!
When we became empty nesters, if we had the extra time & money, we took off down the road! I love taking road trips in the good ol’ USA! Your article is very detailed! I thought we’ve seen a lot, but I learned that there is always more to see that I didn’t know about! I’ll have to read these to my hubby and plan our next road trip. Thank you so much!!

These are some great ideas on things to do! I’ve never been to the states you mentioned, so I should put it on my list to go west sometimes. We always do our road trips along the east coast… just got back from Florida a few weeks ago. I love traveling, too… we all do here!
